USB direct read

Connect the Canon EOS R6 Mark II to your computer with a USB cable and the app reads the exact actuation count straight from the camera. Most accurate method. Works even when photos have had their EXIF stripped.

Wi-Fi reading not yet confirmed

This camera offers Wi-Fi remote control, but we have not yet confirmed a shutter-count read with Camera Shutter Count over Wi-Fi. USB is the verified route.

Camera menu: Connect to EOS Utility → Add a device to connect to.

Connect the camera and this device to the same local network. If you use the camera’s own Wi-Fi network, join that network on this device instead. Keep the camera’s connection screen open.

Unplug USB. Connect both devices to the same network, select the camera in Camera Shutter Count or enter its IP address, then confirm pairing on the camera. Keep EOS Utility and Camera Connect closed.

  1. 01Turn the body on, USB cable into the side.
  2. 02Open Camera Shutter Count → Check.
  3. 03Wait for the body to enumerate (approx. 1 second).
  4. 04The count appears in the result card.

EXIF file drop
